Terms of Service

Last updated on October 16, 2026

In short

Rex Plus is the app you use to order from restaurants and bars. Your food and drink are sold to you by the restaurant, not by Rex Plus. Keep your account secure, pay for what you order, and use the app honestly.

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Rex Plus ("Rex Plus", "we", "us") for your use of the Rex Plus mobile app and related services (the "Services") as a customer.

PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY. BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT OR USING THE SERVICES YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT CREATE AN ACCOUNT OR USE THE SERVICES.

1.About Rex Plus

Rex Plus is a platform that restaurants, bars and similar businesses (each a "Business") use to take orders, manage stock and staff, accept payments and issue fiscal receipts. As a customer, you use the Rex Plus app to browse a Business's menu, place orders, pay and follow your order.

Rex Plus is a technology provider. We do not prepare, sell or deliver food and drink. Your purchase is a contract between you and the Business. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for the Business's food, service, prices or opening hours, except as these Terms say.

2.Eligibility and Your Account

  • True information. You must give your real full name and a phone number that you own, and keep your details up to date.
  • Verification. We send a one-time code to your phone, and to your email if you gave one. You must verify your account before you can use it fully.
  • One person, one account. Do not create accounts for other people or share yours.
  • Keep it secure. You are responsible for your password and for what happens under your account. Never share your password or a verification code with anyone. Tell us at once if you think someone else has accessed your account.

3.Placing Orders

  • Menus and prices. Menus, prices, availability and preparation times are set by each Business and may change. Prices are in Rwandan francs (RWF) and include the taxes shown on your bill.
  • Your order. When you place an order you make an offer to buy from the Business. An order is final once the Business accepts it or it is paid, whichever comes first.
  • Availability. A Business may refuse or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock. If it does so after you have paid, you will be refunded as set out in section 4.
  • Changes and cancellation. You may change or cancel an order only while the Business's rules allow it. Once preparation has started, food that has been prepared cannot normally be cancelled.
  • Accuracy. Check your order, table or address before you pay. You are responsible for errors in the details you enter.

4.Payments, Receipts and Refunds

  • Payment methods. Depending on the Business and the order, you can pay by Mobile Money, by card, or in cash (including cash on delivery). Mobile Money and card payments are processed by our payment partner, and you also agree to its terms.
  • Confirmation. A payment counts only once it is confirmed by the payment partner. Do not rely on a redirect or an on-screen message alone; check your order status. If you are charged and your order does not show as paid, contact us.
  • Your payment details. You confirm that you are allowed to use the Mobile Money number or card you pay with. Network, provider or bank fees charged by others are yours to bear.
  • Receipts. Businesses issue fiscal receipts that are signed with the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA). Receipts and invoices are legal records and cannot be edited afterwards. Corrections are made by credit note or refund receipt.
  • Refunds. Because the Business sells you the goods, it decides refunds for its food, drink and service, subject to your legal rights. Where a Business agrees to a refund or cancels a paid order, it is returned to the method you paid with, and a refund receipt is issued. Processing time depends on the payment provider.

5.Delivery

  • Availability. Delivery is offered only by Businesses that have turned it on.
  • Delivery fee. The fee is set by the Business and is based on the road distance from the Business to your address. You see the fee before you pay. It appears as a separate "Delivery fee" line on your bill and is taxed like the rest of the order.
  • Your address. You must give a correct address, pin and directions, and be reachable by phone. If the rider cannot find you or reach you, the Business may cancel the order and may keep the amount for food already prepared.
  • Timing. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
  • Cash on delivery. If you choose cash on delivery you must pay the full amount to the rider when you receive the order.

6.Credit Accounts

A Business may, at its own choice, open a credit account that lets you buy now and pay later at that Business. Credit is extended by the Business, not by Rex Plus. The Business sets your limit and its payment terms, and you must pay what you owe to the Business on time. A Business may suspend or close your credit account at any time, and your credit accounts are paused if you delete your Rex Plus account.

7.Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • place false, prank or fraudulent orders, or pay with a method you are not allowed to use;
  • use the Services to break any law or the rights of others;
  • harass, threaten or abuse Business staff, riders or other users;
  • try to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or to bypass our security, rate limits or access controls;
  • probe, scan, overload, copy, reverse engineer or interfere with the Services, or use bots or automated tools to access them;
  • upload anything harmful or unlawful, or anything that you do not have the right to share; or
  • resell or misuse the Services, or use them for any purpose other than ordering for yourself or the people you order for.

8.Suspension, Termination and Account Deletion

We may suspend or close your account, with or without notice, if you break these Terms, if we suspect fraud or abuse, if the law requires it, or if you owe money that you have not paid.

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen of the app. You cannot delete it while you have an open order or you owe money at a Business. Deleting your account removes your login and app data; Businesses keep their records of your past orders, receipts and invoices, as explained in our Privacy Policy. Amounts you owe remain payable after deletion.

9.Intellectual Property

The Services, including the app, its design, logos, text and software, belong to Rex Plus or its licensors and are protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the app for its intended purpose. Menus, photos and names of Businesses belong to those Businesses. You may not copy, modify or distribute any of it without permission.

10.Availability and Changes to the Services

We work to keep the Services available, but we do not promise they will always be uninterrupted or error free. They may be unavailable because of maintenance, network failures, or problems with Businesses, payment, SMS, map or other third-party providers. We may change, add or remove features at any time.

11.Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, REX PLUS GIVES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, AND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE QUALITY, SAFETY, ALLERGEN CONTENT OR LEGALITY OF FOOD AND DRINK SOLD BY BUSINESSES. TELL THE BUSINESS ABOUT ANY ALLERGY BEFORE YOU ORDER.

To the extent the law allows, Rex Plus is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data, and its total liability to you for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid through the Services in the three months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under Rwandan law.

12.Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and your rights. It forms part of these Terms.

13.Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. If you have a problem, please contact us first so that we can try to settle it by discussion. If we cannot, the competent courts of Rwanda have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to bring a complaint to a consumer or data protection authority.

14.General

  • Changes to the Terms. We may update these Terms. We will tell you about important changes in the app or by message and update the "Last updated" date. If you keep using the Services after the change takes effect, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, delete your account.
  • Notices. We may contact you by in-app message, SMS, email or push notification, using the details on your account.
  • If part is unenforceable. If a part of these Terms is found to be invalid, the rest stays in force.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not give it up.
  • Transfer. You may not transfer your account or rights to anyone else. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, sale or reorganisation.
  • Whole agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Rex Plus about the Services.
